Review Process

At The Tool Square, I review a number of tools and power tool products. I do this to assist other hobbyists or tradesman/ carpenters in the building industry.

This is all to assist you in making good buying decisions because I have used numerous products and have a good idea of what works.

Here are the types of reviews you’ll see on The Tool Square:

Product Category Reviews

These are the most common reviews you’ll see.  This provides an excellent overview of the many brands available.

But how do you know which product is right for you?

Tool manufacturers such as DeWalt, Bosch, Makita, Milwaukee, SawStop, Shop Fox, Grizzly and many others provide technical details. They also promote and market their product with bias.

I provide simple purchasing decisions.

You don’t have to combine and read many forum reviews. Instead, I’ll provide comprehensive information about the best product to buy.

Single Product Reviews

I also write reviews about a single product. Such reviews provide an in-depth review of the product.

This assists you to know more information about each product.

This can be helpful especially if you’re a DeWalt only kinda guy.

Final Thoughts

I do my best to help my readers make the best purchasing decision.

I base my review on personal use, or combining reviews around the web to assist you.

Important note: I don’t accept money in exchange for a positive review, and do my best to be impartial with no bias.

My goal is to eventually be able to purchase and review each product. For the time being though, this is too expensive.  I hope you understand.

If it bothers you that I don’t have the actual product, you can instead Google around for other opinions. It may take time (which is why I began reviewing products in the first place), but I’m sure you’ll find what you’re after.

Cheers,

James
