People often have a problem when the concept of anything being ‘mini’ is placed in front of them. You see, one of the more common thoughts is that it somehow represents an item as being inferior in some way as if it just cannot reach the heights that a full version can do.
While that can certainly be the case in some instances, it’s not always true. Instead, often the only significant difference with a mini version is clearly the size of the project that you can work on.
But I’m not going to just talk about a whole host of tools here. Instead, I plan on focusing on just one, and that’s a mini table saw.
I feel that a mini table saw can bring so many different advantages, and I’m not just talking about the size. So, this is what I have managed to do.
I have taken my experience dealing with power tools and examined the various mini table saws on the market. My intention was to find five of the best models that you can buy right now, but that’s not all.
In the end, I will also give you several valuable tips on what to look out for when choosing the perfect mini table saw. My aim is to make the entire process so much easier and also help you to go ahead and grab that saw.

How I Made My List
Each mini table saw had to meet specific criteria to qualify for my list.
First, I wanted to ensure it was indeed a mini table saw. They come in different sizes, so I felt it was important not to simply recommend a table saw that was merely slightly smaller than the full-size versions.
Also, I wanted each model to remain easy to use and adjust. There’s nothing worse than a power tool that is difficult to use, and it’s one of my absolute pet hates.
Add in the genuine need for it to be robust and reliable since I don’t want a model packing in at the slightest opportunity, and what you get is a list of mini table saws that tick a lot of boxes.
Finally, I also checked out what other people had to say. Finding out what other owners think about each item is a fantastic way of really getting to grips with what your experience may also be like.
Best Overall Mini Table Saw – DeWalt Jobsite 8 ¼” DWE7485
- Power: 15 Amp
- Speed: 5,800 RPM
- Blade Size: 8 ¼”
- Weight: 54 lbs
I think the best mini table saw is this model by DeWalt, as it packs everything into a mini table saw you would ever want. I know DeWalt does aim more at the professional market, but I still feel that this is the best option out there.
I admit it’s one of the larger mini table saws on the market, but I’m so impressed with what it can do that I feel it’s still the best out there.
First, it has a large blade at 8 ¼”, so this mini table saw still has the ability to cut through some large stock. Also, it offers speeds of up to 5,800 RPM, so it’s not going to struggle with even harder woods.
You will also get an adjustable miter gauge, rip fence, and anti-kickback pawls. Add in every type of wrench you could need to operate this saw and a push stick, and you see how this model has you covered for every eventuality.
I do also love the fact that this saw is exceptionally sturdy. It also comes with rubber feet, so it’s not going to slide everywhere when in use. You will also notice that the fence rails are rack and pinion, so they are indeed easy to move around.
And then we cannot forget that DeWalt always has accessories available for every tool in its range. If required, you should find it easy to change blades and switch to a different blade with this model.
Overall, I feel that this saw is easy to set up and use even though it is indeed aimed at the professional market. However, I think it’s more for a professional because of the sturdy nature of the saw and its ability to withstand a lot of punishment in tough conditions.

Best Portable Mini Table Saw – Rockwell RK7323 Bladerunner X2
- Power: 5.5 Amp
- Speed: 3,000 RPM
- Weight: 17lbs
If you want to own a mini table saw that can move around easily, then my pick is this model by Rockwell. It weighs only 17 lbs, so it’s lightweight but still sturdy, and that’s a great combination.
I also feel it has more than enough power for a mini table saw since it has a 5.5 Amp motor generating speeds of up to 3,000 RPM. Now, I know other mini table saws on the market offer higher speeds, but I still feel that this mini table saw does a more than adequate job.
But the speed and power of this machine are not the reason I’ve included them in my list. Instead, it’s the array of options this tool gives you regarding its capabilities.
You see, this model can operate not only as a table saw but also as a jigsaw, miter saw, and scroll saw. I just love it when one single tool can chop and change what it does, and the fact you can do this with so much ease is just an added bonus.
I noticed that the model’s miter gauge goes up to 60 degrees, and it’s great when it goes past that 45-degree mark. I feel it opens up the model to doing a whole lot more, and this model won’t let you down in that department.
It also comes with an impressive dust port, so it won’t make much of a mess, and tool-free blade changes.
Finally, this mini table saw won’t just cut wood. Instead, you get four different blades that allow you to cut through plastic, metal, aluminum, and ceramic. I think that’s excellent, and it strengthens the idea of this mini table saw having a great deal of versatility.
Overall, I just think that this mini table saw is an excellent choice, and it also comes with a carry handle, so moving it around won’t prove too difficult.

- Weight: 15lbs
If you are new to mini table saws, I suggest checking out this model by WORX. It packs a lot of power into the machine via a 5.5 Amp motor generating speeds of 3,000 RPM. That does mean it has enough power to cope with most of what you may try to throw at it.
With a small footprint, you can still produce both cross and rip cuts with this model. Also, it can be used to cut wood, plastic, tiles, aluminum, and metal. That means it has a great deal of versatility, and that’s always a good thing.

Best Budget Mini Table Saw – Apstour 4” Mini Table Saw
- Power: 60W
- Blade Size: 4”
- Cutting Depth: ⅝”
- Speed: 4,500 RPM
- Weight: 8.5lbs
If you are in the market for a budget table saw that will also take up very little space, then this 4” model by Apstour could prove to be the perfect solution.
At first glance, this mini table saw doesn’t look like much, and I know it only gives you 60W of cutting power, but that still generates from 4,500 RPM, which is a lot of speed for such a small motor. Ultimately, that should mean it can still work its way through things when working on those small projects.
With a 4” blade, you already know it will not have the biggest cutting depth, and the maximum cutting depth is only ⅝”. However, I still think that’s adequate when you know what to expect from this machine in advance.
You still get a miter gauge with this model, and it does come with a table clamp included, as well as a safety guard.
I find this model to be the easiest to set up simply because it keeps things to a basic level. You still get precision cutting with this model, and I’m confident you will be more than happy with the end results.
Finally, it still comes with four rubber feet which do a fantastic job of soaking up those vibrations. That offers you a lot of control over things, and it just makes this model even better.

Best Value for Money Mini Table Saw – Huanyu Mini Table Saw
- Power: 300W
- Blade Size: 110mm
- Weight: 4kgs
- Speed: 9,000 RPM
When I started checking out this mini table saw by Huanyu, I admit I was blown away by the idea of something so small producing a speed of 9,000 RPM. However, it does have 300W of power, which is a lot for a tool of this small size.
I also love that you can perform different actions with this saw. You can quickly move between cutting, drilling, carving, and even polishing. Basically, it’s a dynamic machine that only weighs 4kg, and that’s impressive.
But even though it has this top speed of 9,000 RPM, you don’t have to run the machine at that speed. Instead, it has seven adjustable speeds incorporated into the machine, which provides you with far more control over your project.
I like how they give you these seven set speeds. At least you know what to expect from the machine, and you can adjust it in seconds.
In addition, I find that this saw offers you fantastic accuracy and precision with your cuts. You still get a miter gauge, a straightedge, and a laser scale plate to help you line everything up. I find this to be crisp and clear, so there’s no confusion here.
If you feel concerned about the blade size, then don’t stress. It has a cutting depth of over 1” even though it’s such a small blade, so you can certainly work on a number of projects without getting into too much difficulty.
Lastly, it comes with a steel frame and aluminum tabletop. That means it’s sturdy, and they have also included rubber feet to absorb vibrations and also prevent slippage.
Overall, this small saw offers many possibilities and opportunities, which is why I see it as representing real value for money.

How to Choose the Right Mini Table Saw
Even though I’ve only included five different mini table saws above, you will clearly know a huge number of options are on the market. So, choosing the correct mini table saw is not always easy.
To make life easier, I have a few tips on the key components you need to look out for when deciding on your new mini table saw.
Size
The first thing I need to stress is the need to consider the mini table saw’s size and the limitations it then places upon you. It does restrict the project you can work on simply because of the cutting depth that comes with these models.
You will often find that the cutting depth is less than 1” for most models. Some will push above that mark, but they are in the minority.
So think about how you plan on using your mini table saw and the stock you will be cutting to ensure you purchase a model with an adequate cutting depth.
Power
The power level on a mini table saw is obviously lower than a full-size version. However, that doesn’t automatically mean that these saws are significantly weaker.
I would always try to look for something around 5.5 Amp. I feel that’s a lot of power for such a small machine, and it does help it to make quicker work of whatever it is you are cutting through.
However, if you do like the look of a smaller tool, then, by all means, go for a lower power output if it fits in with your requirements. Just accept that it may struggle from time to time.
Speed
Speed relates to how fast the blade rotates, and I would always go for a minimum speed of 3,000 RPM. You can get mini table saws where the speed increases to almost 9,000 RPM, which is fast. However, you don’t always need something like that.
The lower the speed, the longer it takes to cut through the material. But it’s also good to get your hands on a model with variable speed options. That allows you to take more care at times by slowing it down.
Miter Gauge
Every mini table saw will come with a miter gauge, and I always prefer it when it pushes up to around the 60-degree mark. This added angle can make a difference when it comes to what the mini table saw is capable of doing.
Also, try to choose an option where the numbers have been laser etched onto the plate. It means everything stands, and you have no problem lining everything up.
Other Key Features
For me, other key features you need to check out include ensuring it has an adequate rip fence and that it’s relatively light to move around. Also, you want to check the safety equipment. Does it have a guard, and can you adjust the guard? How quickly does it stop if required?
In addition, I would suggest looking for a model with rubber feet on the base. It does make a difference with absorbing vibrations, so you won’t experience the mini table saw moving around when in use.
If it doesn’t have those feet, you may run into problems, and the last thing you want is to suddenly have the saw jolt and move where it’s situated.
But in general, your primary focus must be on the saw’s size and power to ensure it fits in with your project.
Overall Conclusion
Each mini table saw in my list can perform to a high degree of accuracy while also being easy to use. I know that one of the five will have the ability to provide you with everything you need in order to complete your projects.
But I do stress you should run over my tips on what to look out for when it comes to making your decision. In doing so, you will better understand what is important to you, and then know which mini table saws you perhaps need to avoid.
Overall, I feel a mini table saw will always prove to be a worthwhile investment. They take up little space in your workshop, and yet the results they can help you to achieve can often be mind-blowing.
If you have never owned one before, then now is the time to change that.
